Glong Pane is a kind of drum used in the Northeastern Region of Thailand with different names imitating the sound it produces, such as Glong Teu (กลองตึ) or Glong Tum (กลองตุ้ม). Glong Pane is a two-sided drum covered with stretched skin or leather. Its shape is similar to that of the Glong Tad in the Central Region. The body of the drum is made from various kinds of solid hardwood found in the locality and hollowed out. It is played in a parade or procession by using a shoulder beam to carry. It is also used to give signals in the community because it has a loud resonant sound which can be heard far away.
