The Tone Rammana is a rhythmic percussive instrument in the string and Mahori ensembles, consisting of:
1. The Tone Mahori, the body of which is made of terra cotta. Later a hard wood or glazed ceramic has been used. The shape of the drum resembles a cone, with the front part larger than the rear part. The single face is stretched over with cow hide, the skin of kid goat or that of the reticulated python and is tensioned down with rattan strips or silk cords. It is played in a pair with the Rammana Mahori.
2. The Rammana Mahori is a single-face drum. The body is made of hard wood in a short shallow shape. The face is stretched over with leather and fixed with pins around the edge of the drum.
